Nominations for People to People
Leadership Program (2008-2009)

An E-mail extract from Mr Boy :

Dear IP2s,

Here is an excellent opportunity to stretch some of our best students, especially those with leadership potential. People to People International, an organisation founded by former US president Dwight D. Eisenhower, has invited us to nominate up to 7 students for their People to People Leadership Program in the 2008-9 US academic year. Nominated students will be invited to apply for the program. Selected students will enroll in a week-long interactive leadership program with participants from various parts of the world. The students can earn academic credits while fulfilling the requirements of the program. These credits can count towards the fulfilment of their degree requirements should they eventually enroll in a US university. For further details, please visit the People to People website: http://www.peopletopeople.com

The nominated students should be between the ages of 10 and 18 and possess outstanding academic abilities and leadership potential.

Do note that the dates for the program varies between June and August, depending on the specific area of interest chosen by the students. So if these students are selected, they might miss crucial lessons leading up to their examinations.

If you are interested, please let me know by replying to this email by 10th Mar (Mon) 2359 hrs and we will do the selection based on merit (academic, attitude etc.)

The abovementioned email has been sent to your VJC Mail Inbox (http://mail.vjc.sg)
